WELCOME

Welcome to the Holy Rosary Parish website.  Holy Rosary Parish serves the greater Belgium and Fredonia area Catholics in our three beautiful and historic chapels:  Holy Cross Chapel in the Town of Belgium (Holy Cross), St. Mary Chapel in Little Kohler and St. Rose Chapel in Fredonia.  We proudly administer to the needs of our school age children at Rosemary School, a K4-6th grade elementary school, and through our Religious Education Program geared for children in 1st grade through their confirmation into the Catholic Faith.  Additionally, we offer quality adult education opportunities in cooperation with other area parishes.

We sincerely hope you find this website informative and inspirational.  If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to e-mail us at the e-mail links below.

Chapter 11 Claims Bar Date Set.

Dear Faithful Catholics of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee,

As part of the process of its Chapter 11 reorganization, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee is required to publicize the claims bar dates.  These dates are the deadlines for individuals to file their claim against the archdiocese.

The deadline for anyone who wishes to make a clergy abuse claim against the Archdiocese of Milwaukee is February 1, 2012 at 4:00 pm (prevailing Central Time.)

A second bar date has been set for general creditors in the financial reorganization of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.  The General Bar Date is October 17, 2011 at 4:00 pm (Prevailing Central Time).

Part of this process is providing notice to people who may have a claim.  As such, I have asked parishes and schools in the archdiocese to publicize this date in various ways within their community.

For more information about the claims bar date or about how to file a claim, please go to the archdiocesan website.

The archdiocese is committed to fair and equitable compensation for abuse survivors and to continuing its outreach to those who have been harmed.  As a church, we remain vigilant in our efforts to keep children safe.  Through this Chapter 11 process, we can continue to more forward, providing the necessary services and ministries to parishes and schools, and all those who rely upon the Church for support.

Please keep all of those involved in this process, especially those who are abuse survivors, in your prayers.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

+Jerome E. Listecki
Archbishop of Milwaukee

MISSION STATEMENT

Holy Rosary Parish, formerly Holy Cross Parish, St. Mary Parish and St. Rose Parish, join as a single parish community with the common goal of fostering Christian beliefs and attitude, and promoting the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ in our community and beyond through example, prayer, sharing of our faith, celebration of the Sacraments and a commitment to providing our children with Christian roots deeply embedded in the faith of Our Father in Heaven through education in the Catholic Faith.

With the help of the Lord, we pledge to acclaim the vision of the Church as proclaimed by the Second Vatican Council.  We commit to uphold and complete the tasks the Council set for the Church and for us.

We trust in the Holy Spirit to enlighten and guide us, allowing us to find the means to recognize and fulfill the need of all within our parish, to share our faith with others, to embrace new members, to teach our children in a patient and loving manner, and to guide our flock in the faith of Jesus Christ our Lord, promoting and proclaiming our faith to all.
