Study Strategies for Spelling

Day 1: Have your child write the spelling words that they spelled wrong on the pretest 3 times.

Day 2: Have your child read each word and spell it out loud (they may look at the list as they do this).

Day 3: Give your child an oral test (you say the word, they spell it out loud orally).

Day 4: Give your child a written test (you say the word and use it in a sentence, they write the word on paper).
Write any words that are still being misspelled.
